It's been a while. It's been fucking busy!First off, the last couple of weekend have been a little tough. The candle wasn't thrown all the way in the fire, but it's been burning at both ends and is starting to melt all over the fucking place.
Since Lea left I've been just trying to keep busy between the bike, my boys and doing enough around the house to keep it livable (until they kick me out at some point)
Three weekends ago we had the big kshe party at the eagles. It was a great time for everyone there. Me, Roberto and the Silver Back cooked enough bbq to feed an army. The beer was flowing like water and the band sounded great. I took off around 7:30 (drunk). Called it a good day. Next morning I heard that a good friend, Isaac, wrecked his bike (little play bike) on the way home. He died the following Thursday.
So weekend before last I was feeling very bummed out over Isaac. He's wake was Sunday night. Friday I took the bike to work and ended up leaving early. By the time I got into town I was just in a bad mood and looking for someone to have a beer with. Ended up stopping at the bike shop and drank a 6pack. While just hanging around there, Steve and Joe, Phillis and Kenny and Vickie stopped by. We all ended up meeting Fritz and Kathy for his birthday. Ended up turning into a 3am drunken pool party.
The next day I was hanging like a big dog. Ended up sitting around the eagles drinking soda just chatting about Isaac and life. Bo and Steve showed up around 9pm and talked me into a beer. That turned downhill quickly. At 10:30 a had a couple in me and was close to feeling human again. We ended up heading out from the eagles over to Sparta (the Garden of Eden). Had a good time, stuck around until 3:30 or so then road over to Tim's for the rest of the night. Ended up sitting around the camp fire until sun raise. Road home around 7:30 that morning. Very Easy Rider. Very Cool. Helped clear my head a little.
Sunday, slept most of the day, woke up hung over and time to goto the wake. It was huge. 2 to 3 hour wait in line to pay your respects. He was a good guy.
Last weekend I had the boys. It's great to spend time with them. It would be better if I could make it work with Lea, but at least I have them. LC and Nate (and Ty) are all good kids and I couldn't love them more if I had to.
We played most of Friday night and all day Saturday was spent on the pool. Ended up inviting Roberto, YimmyYo, Vick and Kenny and some other over for beer and bbq. My mom wanted the boys for the night, so she ended up taking them with her around 8ish. Then it got wild! Steve and Bo showed up and it all turned into a drunken mess.
Party shut down around 4:30ish that morning. Good times had by all. It was the first time this summer that I had a party like that. Used to do them all the time. I need to make sure it isn't the last for the year!
This weekend we have the 2nd annual Timmerz Run. Tim was killed on his bike 3 years ago now. His little brother Josh and their family puts on the run in his memory. It was a good turn out and a good time last year. Expecting the same this year.
Planning on starting early Saturday morning with breakfast at Al's for everyone. Then to the Pop-a-Top for sign on and the run. Afterwards over to Hawg Mama's for a band and all night party. I'll take the bus over early Saturday morning, so it should be a good time for all.
